Mythic is your same dungeon- just harder. Harder means more rewards.
(Increased personal skill, Increased gear level / power)
or in dingus case – more room for error

How to Start

In order to begin a Mythic+ dungeon, at least one player in the party must have a Mythic Keystone, which is available from the last boss of a Mythic 0 dungeon or a party member’s Weekly Challenger’s Chest. Don’t forget to set the dungeon difficulty to Mythic before entering the dungeon. In a Mythic 0, there is no trash quota.

Once you have a “key”...
Set the dungeon to Mythic and enter. A Font of Power object will be present (Picture Above). If you can't find the font- leave the instance- double check your instance settings, and head back in.

The player with the Keystone must click on the Font of Power to open the Mythic+ UI, Drag the Keystone from your bags into the socket in the center of the UI window. Wait a few moments for the UI to update with the Keystone level and additional information about the dungeon. Click the red “Activate” button at the bottom of the window. This will force all players into a loading screen, place a ghostly green wall in front of the party, and begin a 10-second countdown timer. When this reaches 0, the wall is removed and the Mythic+ timer will begin.

The Timer in a Mythic+ Dungeon
In a Mythic+ Dungeon, the player’s goal is to defeat all of the bosses in the dungeon, as well as a set amount of trash, before the Mythic+ timer expires.

  1. We didn’t finish: If you are unable to complete the dungeon, you will have a Keystone that is one level lower for the same dungeon and receive no loot.
  2. We finished but ran out of time. You still get the Loot chest upon killing the final boss of the dungeon containing Artifact Power and 2 pieces of loot. The Mythic Keystone will point to a random dungeon that is one level lower than the one you just used.
  3. We Killed it: Completing it faster than time: Beating the timer rewards the party with a new, higher-level Keystone of a random dungeon, and a Challenger’s Cache that contains Artifact Power and 3 pieces of loot at an appropriate ilvl.

Completing the keyed dungeon in, or not in time- you will receive:
1. Loot chest at the end of the dungeon
2. A weekly Loot Chest containing:
—–A random Mythic Keystone for a dungeon 1 or 2 levels below your highest run from previous week
—–Random loot -based on your current ilevel & the completed key run of the week before. (or... choose some stygia...)

You can look at the current weekly information and best completed runs in the 3rd tab at the bottom of your Looking for group interface. There are also lots of Mythic addons to explore to help with Mythic runs . One in particular, I would like to find, hollers at the group to stop killing things as the “Bursting Stack” is at 3 or more. I also like the ones that have the description written out for the weekly affix. Never going to remember those symbols!

If you’re bold and want to adventure on your own. Open up your Looking for group icon, select premade groups, dungeons, and then post your desired run and details, or search listed groups. Not all pugs are bad, but many do expect a level of completion.

WHAT IS AN “AFFIX”?
The last part of mythic - additional difficulty dungeons- is the addition of affixes. An affix is a modifier applied to a mythic keystone at set levels. Different combinations occur every week, with the combinations eventually repeating on a set schedule. https://mythicpl.us/

AT Keystone:
LEVEL 2: Tyrannical or Fortified
LEVEL 4 AFFIXES : Bolstering, Bursting Inspiring, Raging, Sanguine, or Spiteful
LEVEL 7: Explosive, Grievous, Necrotic, Quaking, Storming, or Volcanic.
LEVEL 10+ (Seasonal)
Season 1: Prideful
