Expectations are a part of all of us. We all have them, even when we don't think we do. They can be a powerful tool to help define goals or be dangerous, bringing about destruction and resentment. In the absence of proper perspective and respect, expectations can overtake the defining role in how we treat and work with each other. So let's talk about them.

We are here to win and have fun doing it. It is important to keep these in proper perspective. Nobody likes losing all the time, but winning becomes less enjoyable if you aren't having fun doing it. Winning takes work, patience, and teamwork, sometimes more than others. So put in your time, exercise patience, and help your teammates. Always check your ego, be ready for constructive criticism, and build each other up. If you see someone struggling or find yourself frustrated with tough progression, be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem.

As a guild, we will continue to grow and progress until we cant. Keep it simple, one step at a time. It is easy to ahead of ourselves and focus on a long-term goal as a short-term goal. Both of these types of goals are good but again, out of proper perspective, they can be a problem for the team's greater good and its overall mission. If we do not prioritize the most immediate goals first, we will never reach the long-term that we desire.

All of these could be easily accomplished by being respectful and taking ownership of everything in your world. By asking for help or giving help to those who need it, we will build a solid team ready to win time and time again. Taking ownership of a problem and becoming part of the solution will help the team accomplish the shared goal in front of it. By taking ownership of your mistakes and limitations, you will earn your teammates' respect and help you become a better player and teammate. Being respectful is being respectable. Remember always to check your ego.
