Q. What does 'Ostara' mean?

A. We named our guild for the ancient celebrations of the Spring Equinox and the dawn. (We had to be creative as a lot of names were taken!) However, the themes of new beginnings, nerdy trivia & happy energy seemed to fit the intentions for our guild well.

Q. How can I start raiding with Ostara?

A. Have an ilevel of 375 or higher and RSVP to one of our twice weekly raid nights through our Discord.

During the week, guild members voluntarily help contribute materials so that we can provide enchants, feasts, personal food, flasks, armor kits, and potions for everyone.

If you have any raid related questions, please reach out in our #raiding-general Discord channel and our raid leads will be happy to help!

Q. You keep saying you're a small guild. How many members do you currently have?

A. We've been actively growing. When we first began the guild, we were raiding through the beginning of Shadowlands with another guild. We have since grown enough to support our own raid team with additional people to spare. There are usually people online to tackle content or chat with, but we still consider ourselves a close knit group.

Q. What time is your guild active?

A. Our guild isn't location specific so we have people in all time zones available at a variety of different hours.

Q. How was the guild created?

A. Some real life friends and family members decided to start "worgen nights" and created a joke guild to go alongside these weekly leveling events. However, after we stopped leveling these characters, most of us stuck around. We recently rebranded the guild to appeal to more players and build it up. Before this, we ran a guild on Terokkar called Solstice.

Q. What are your members like?

A. We're a mix of archeology enthusiasts, librarians, aviation experts, knitting gurus, graphic designers, wild life experts, IT specialists, and more who consider ourselves to be fairly knowledgable about the game. We're located mostly across Western Canada & USA. A lot of us stream on Twitch and we often run game nights unrelated to WoW that we throw out invitations to.

We're dedicated to improving our gameplay, but we try to have fun while doing it. We have a pretty even split between genders and have members of all age ranges.
