PROGRESSION RAIDING - Rules and Expectations:
Part of what makes progression raiding exciting and enjoyable is the level of difficulty involved. With that being said, no one likes to wipe constantly on avoidable mechanics. Because of this, we ask all progression raiders to come to the raid with a complete understanding of the expected encounters for that raid night. There are several tools and resources available (youtube videos, walk-throughs, etc) that provide players with the necessary information for each encounter, and we expect all progression raiders to make use of those resources. These will also be posted and pinned in the raid team channel for ease of access. Along with knowledge of fights/encounters, we also ask members to research his or her individual class and spec - be it “Best in Slot” items, talent choices, and/or warcraft log analysis. If you research your class/spec and take the steps needed to become a better player, you will be successful here as a Progression Raider.
A progression-level raid group requires a high level of communication. For our Progression team, we have chosen to use our Discord channel for our raid communication. While using Discord, all raiders are asked to abide by the following rules:
a.) Present in Discord for the duration of the raid.
b.) Have a clear/functional microphone.
c.) Use proper voice chat etiquette. (no constant background noise, scratching, yelling, etc.)
d.) Keep comms clear during an encounter unless your information is pertinent to the fight at hand.
3. Schedule and Attendance:
Raid Times: Tues / Thurs 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM server
As for attendance, we find that we are relatively lenient. If you need to miss a night of progression, that is completely fine. We only ask that you inform leadership as early as possible. We understand that life happens and we are willing to work with anyone having issues with making progression. We need to ensure that we have all the necessary roles filled before we start sending out invites.
4. System and Addon Requirements:
b.) Appropriate quality microphone
c.) Stable Internet Connection
d.) Deadly Boss Mods/BigWigs (your preference)
e.) Angry Assignments
In order to create a successful Progression team, we require all candidates to perform an evaluation. If you would like to be considered for the Progression group, please message us with your character name and a quick message asking to join the team. From there, we will work with you to schedule a tryout time that works for you! Afterward, your performance will be evaluated and you will be notified of your status for joining the team. NOTE: Due to the nature of raid structure and limitations, roles may become an issue. If so, we will do what we can to ensure you are considered for a position! As stated previously, we want end-game content to be exciting. We are always looking for ways to improve the experience for everyone. If you have any recommendations on how we can improve as a raid team, please let me know.
a.) Members will be on time and ready to go when the raid event begins. All talent/gear/etc swaps should be made before entering the raid, in order to ensure that the maximum amount of time is given to progression.
b.) Progression will continue until all raid team members have attained AOTC for the tier, and raid leadership has determined that the team as a whole has met the challenges presented adequately.
c.) Team members shall not miss progression in order to push content with another group, as th...
