Lawless: Shadowlands Progression Imminent

While the guild is young, we have plenty of veteran guild members who bared the Battle for Azeroth and many expansions before. Going into Shadowlands will be a new adventure for every guild, but the players in Lawless are gearing up and communicating for a real testament to the Shadowland expac.

Before we talk about Shadowlands, here's a little recap of the pre-patch...

What has changed in the pre-patch?

Plenty.
Mainly the loss of corruption and level squish that has ultimately made players of item level 100 as strong as players at item level 140. In fact, if you know how to properly play your class you can be a formiddable rival to any player or monster in the game, aside from your lack of health.

How has the loss of corruption affected us?

Tanks seem to have taken the hardest hit.
While it affects everyone, it mainly affects players who solely relied on corruption as their source for damage. A good example is my Guardian Druid, which was geared with 36% Twlight Devastation gear. With this type of gear you could solo a Mythic 0 or tank a Mythic 4 without a healer. Now, it's a struggle to do more damage then your DPS in a Heroic BFA instance - and forget about soloing a Mythic 0 unless you're extremely good at rotations in your tanking class.

What has the loss of corruption done for DPS?

A lot of classes relied on corruption for haste, versatility, mastery and crit stacking. Taking away almost 60% of one of these can severely limit their ability to burst DPS. You can still thrive as a bursting DPS if you have managed your equipment selection, heart essences, talent choices and azerite armor. Without knowing how your character works, it's like starting from the very beginning and corruption loss will definitely make everyone learn their class if they want to push out any DPS.

Now, onto Shadowlands!

What can we expect to see......What is lying ahead for us in the next expansion of WoW?

I'll take you into a summary of what we will get in Shadowlands that we did not have in BFA.

 - An increase in our level range
(an additional 10 levels, but based on BFA math, it's an additional 20 levels).

 - A whole new line of crafting because there's a whole new world for us to explore. There's new crafting ingredients, new NPCs and a whole bunch of new things to discover "together".

 - Covenants. There's a new questing system in place that's going to introduce 4 covenants. These are what you might have seen as part of the Afterlife in WoW (videos may show up in your Battlenet Launcher).

   - Bastion (Kyrian)
   - Maldraxxus (Necrolords)
   - Ardenweald (Night Fae)
   - Revendreth (Venthyr)

Although there's a ton of information on Wowhead about what's to come for us, everything we do from here can be a new experience for us to learn together.

Lawless is going into Shadowlands and we'll be one of the most prominent guilds on the realm.
