Gnomicidal Maniacs will be implementing some changes in the coming days, and I wanted to apprise you of them in advance, so you did not log in and wonder what was going on. From changes in ranks, raiding and rules, we will be overhauling the guild to ensure it is going to continue to be fit for purpose in the coming years.

Ranks
Ranks will be changing in name to fit within the evolved theme of the guild, as well as a change in structure. So, do not be alarmed if you have suddenly been promoted/demoted without notice, it is simply an administrative change and nothing to worry about.
The rules will be updated accordingly, and roles clarified for ease, please see the Rule Changes section for more information.

Promotions & Recognitions
While promotion from Gnomeposter to Gnomeaphobe will continue to work on a 30 day stay within the guild, or upon recognition of achievement within the guild before this time, I wanted to take a moment to thank some additional people for their hard work and their loyalty to the guild.
It is my pleasure to announce the following promotions (in no order) to Inquisitor with immediate effect.

You folk have gone above and beyond on many an occasion, to make this guild such a fun and engaging community. Not just in-game, but outside of it too, and for that I will always be grateful.
To continue the good news, I would like to announce that these two souls will be promoted to the rank of Interrogator. They have each shown a loyalty to the guild and have supported in various ways, and I hope to see a lot more out of them in the future.

Going forward, any promotions and recognitions will take place on/around the social night (or the first weekend of the month).
Inactivity Updates
With immediate effect, the inactivity level will be changed to 75 days unless otherwise agreed. Removals will take place the same time as any promotions, the first weekend of every month.
Should you know you are going to be offline for more than 75 days, please contact the GM with all your character names so they can be removed from being flagged.
Raiding
As the new patch looms ever closer, the leadership team have been hard at work deciding on the best solution to the raid and the teams. After long conversations, we have concluded that a two-team system is required, and a further post will be detailed very shortly with everything you may need to know about this.
In the interim period, I can update you on some details.
The raid teams (once selected) will not be required to confirm their attendance via a sign-up form or the like, these will be kept for normal runs and other guild events. You will, however, be required to inform of non-attendance with as much notice as possible. Failure to not inform the Raid Leader (or a member of the leadership team if the RL is not available) on more than twice will result in you being benched for 7 days.
There will be a progressive team and a more relaxed team, the progressive team will be designed for those individuals who want to push the difficulty of the raid and the bosses, where every action counts.
The additional team, the more relaxed team, will serve to support players in getting to the end-game content without the need to PUG and it will progress at its own speed.
Further details on the setup will be announced once they have been finalised.
Role Play & other activities
The guild has started to introduce role-play for those who want to do this, this is completely optional, and the Lady of RP will keep an evolving update on the story after the sessions. This will be available on the site for all to read. We thought this was a bit of fun that players may want to take part in and it will be whatever you make of it.
Other activities will continue, as they have, and we will be using the site & in-game calendar for signups. As previously mentioned, this will become bi-directional, and you should only need to sign up in one location.
If there is an activity you want to create, discuss it with a member of the leadership to ensure there is no conflict with other upcoming planned events and that we will be able to fully promote the event, so it gets the coverage that it deserves.
Other
- Recruitment: will be focused on word-of-mouth or via the site. Some trade chat ads will be acceptable, but it has not proven to be the best place to find individuals that are aligned with the ethos of the guild.
- Guild Bank: The Bazaar will continue to be a free for all. We will also be using the guild bank a bit more, not just for the raid teams, but for members overall. If there is something within the guild bank that you need, but cannot get it due to limitations or allowances, discuss it with a member of the leadership team. Donations are welcome, and they are also welcome when taking something out (items or gold). This allows us to continue to provide the guild-wide allowance of Guild Bank Repairs, and we would really like to continue to offer this to everyone.
