1. MEMBER BEHAVIOR
1(a). Bigotry, Hate Speech Racism, sexism, homophobia or any other form of bigotry is strictly forbidden on this server. A violation of this rule will see you removed from the server, any associated raid teams, and the guild, immediately.

1(b). Politics and Religion We do not condone the discussion of politics or religion so as to respect the personal beliefs of everyone on the server. Furthermore, those who fail to abide by this rule may face a ban or suspension. Anyone caught harassing another member for their personal or spiritual beliefs will be removed from the server, any associated raid teams, and the guild, immediately.

1(c). Spamming, Harassment and Verbal Abuse Be respectful of your fellow members, as well as the server and its leadership, and please don't spam any channel. Doing so will result in an escalating punishment scale detailed later on. Be respectful of yourself and others. The Golden Rule applies here; stop to think before you speak or act. We will not tolerate any form of harassment publicly, or privately within DMs. This rule, also, will be following the server's punishment scale, depending on the severity of the infringement.

2. NICKNAMES AND PROFILE PICTURES
Nicknames must be pingable. To follow this requirement, you must choose a nickname where at least three or more letters follow in a row. This is to ensure leadership can ping people as necessary. Nicknames must also be appropriate. No, we're not prudes, don't worry. This is to keep the content of the server on-topic and to prevent any ToS violations. If you do not comply, leadership will change your nickname and lock your ability to change it again. Profile pictures must oblige to all server rules including those about bigotry and politics. This also includes inappropriate content. We ask that you keep your PFP clean, please.

3. CHANNEL USAGE
3(a). Stay On Topic Don't walk into the memes channel and start dumping about that guy who juked you in League. General is the place for general discussions about anything. Every other channel is expected to stay in line with the channel's theme.

3(b). Off Limits Topics Of course, bigotry, hate speech, homophobia, politics and religion fall in this category. In addition to that, we ask no discussion of hot button issues take place on the server, or in guild chat. Depending on the degree of severity, punishment can range from a Warning all the way up to removal from the community. Please be respectful of everyone.

3(c). Venting and Real Life Issues Share what you feel comfortable sharing. We discourage venting in public spaces, out of respect to everyone. This is a fluid rule that will be watched carefully. If people can not conduct themselves appropriately, venting will become a bannable offense. Please be careful with any real life information you choose to share with anyone, and share in private. This is a hard safety rule. We don't mind if you show off your pets or gloat about your kid getting on the honor roll, just be mindful of what details you choose to share.

3(d). Selfies Selfies, pet picture etc. are allowed to a limited degree. Feel free to show off your new haircut or your dog looking cute on the couch. Just don't make it the core of the content you share

3(e). Spoilers Many of us participate in beta and PTR testing. Many of us follow every little detail they can about the upcoming content. Not everyone is like that, however. Some people prefer to experience new content as a completely new experience, learning everything as they go. Please be mindful of this when discussing upcoming content.

4. IMPERSONATING LEADERSHIP
If you are not in Leadership, do not try to act like you are. We appreciate any help we can get, but let the correction fall to those in charge. If, at any time, you feel a rule has been violated, DM a staff member, or ping them in the associated channel.

5. RESPECT
Everyone in leadership is expected to respect the player base. Members are expected to be respectful of staff and their peers. If anyone has a conflict with a staff member, you may message @Cait to voice your concerns.

6. TRANSPARENCY
This is important. Leadership are strictly forbidden from abusing their powers, and are encouraged to enforce rules using common sense and discretion. When action needs to be taken, staff will take action with transparency and will clearly state to the offending individual what their infraction is, and what the punishment is.

PUNISHMENTS
Aside from insta-bans from major infractions in the beginning, punishments will be handed down for any rule violation.

Informal Warning- A warning given in very minor violations. Generally reserved for infractions of taking a channel off topic and similar situations.

Formal Warning- A warning given by an Officer or higher. Will clearly state your offense, and recommended course of action to solve the issue.

Temporary Mute- Occurs when a rule violation occurs and the offender ignored their formal warning. 24 hour mute. Can also happen in serious issues where further action needs to be discussed among leadership.

Kick- Major rule infractions, or constant, repeated infraction of the rules. Kicked members may return by appealing their kick to leadership.

Banishment- Occurs when it's in the best interests of the server due to constant disruption and/or harassment. Trolls, bots and raiders will be banned without appeal. All other instances, a ban can be appealed leadership.

When you apply to the guild, you accept the rules and understand the behavior expected of you. Failure to read the rules in the event of a violation provides absolutely no excuse to the rule being broken. It is your responsibility to know what is expected of you in this community.
